Creating Technology Leaders of Tomorrow

WHY LTC? WHY NOW?

We have learned that people in inner cities and underserved communities lack resources when it come to technology.  Our communities lack access to devices, training and the internet.   In the world we live in today this is not a privledge it is a right to have access to technology.  We also discovered that African Amercians make up approximately 7% of the workforce when it comes to the technology industry with less than 1% being in leadership technology business ownership.  Why is this a problem because our community are large technology consumers.   Our community spends about 39 billion dollars a year on tech gadgets.   Another critical area to look at is that our U.S. Government (Tax Dollars) is projected to spend 2 Trillion Dollars this is dollars that are given to companies and programs.   So if only .4 percent of technology business are Black owned how much of that 2 Trillion would come to our community?  The time is now for us to close the digital divide and increase our technology literacy.
