Almost Time for Back To School

MESSAGE

We will be having our 11th Annual End-of-the-Year Celebration Cookout, and we want to invite our Parents, Volunteers, Parents, Students and our Chuch Family out to be a part of this year’s celebration.

The event will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 5 PM to 8 PM at River Woods Park in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The park is located at 300 River Woods Drive, Auburn Hills, MI 48326, near the intersection of I-75 and Squirrel Road. (Please See Attached Map) This event will include a Barbecue, Fish Fry, Games & Activities for the Kids, and Music.

We are asking everyone to join us for our celebration. Donations are always appreciated so If you would like to sign up to volunteer your time, bring a food item or donate money to help make this event a success, please click the link here select the “BRING SOMETHING” or “DONATE” button.

We’re excited to start planning for the 2026-2027 school year and we would also like to celebrate our 12th Year of Service to the community. Please be sure to visit our web page to stay up to date on all the information about our program

THIS YEAR

We will be taking a stronger approach by making sure the each student completes assessments so that we can monitor the students progress. By doing assessments it will give us the proper information to plan for each students instruction and success. We will also send home progress reports to the parents.

We will be expanding our computer lab time and activities focusing on AI and Fun activities for each student that will be fun while continuing to build skills that need to be learned by each student.

Finally, we will be collaborating with several external groups for Fun Activity Days. On Fun Activity Days the group will present during Session B to the entire group

OUR PROGRAM

LEARNING

Brainy Bots Lab is our new computer lab session open every Wednesday evening from 5 PM – 6:30 PM in our new Lighthouse Technology Center computer lab. Our goal is to introduce fun AI and STEM activities to our children in a safe space.

BRAINY BOTS COMPTUER LAB

SERVING NUTRITIOUS MEALS

Each week, a nutritious meal is prepared and served to the children, along with snacks. We know that eating before learning increases performance and supports better academic outcomes.

LEARNING

We support students in K-12 Math, Reading, and Science. Our focus this year is on reading as our kids in the local area and throughout the state are reading and testing at really low levels. We belive that reading and writing are essential tools for life and education.

LEARNING

YOUTH MINISTRIES

We recognize the importance of supporting our youth and creating and atmosphere that encourages them to do better all while having a little fun. We work in alignment with our Youth Ministry Program to continue to encourage our youth to make them smile.

S.T.E.A.M.

We are introuding our kids to S.T.E.A.M. which is Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. We are teching the next generation of leaders so we partner with other local organization like K.F.I. Kids First Initiative to help open their minds to new concepts and better paying jobs for the future.
